The
Bei Shan Tang Legacy: Bei Shan Tang was the private studio name of the late Dr. LEE Jung Sen (1915-2007). Since the opening of the Art Museum in 1971, he served as the Chairman of the Art Museum Management Committee until the year 2004, lending his vision and guidance to every stage of its development. In addition, in the past three decades, the majority of the Bei Shan Tang collection, the personal collection of Chinese art of Dr. Lee had been generously donated to the Art Museum. The exhibition of "The Bei Shan Tang Lagacy" has been staged since September 2009 in the Museum's four galleries with respective themes, introducing the creams of this gift, which has been the core and highlights of the Art Museum collection. The display in Gallery II, with the theme on ceramics and decorative art, is extended to the end of this year. |
