The Art Museum has four galleries, which are housed in the East and the West Wings. Thematic exhibitions on Chinese art and archaeology are staged all year round. The Art Museum organizes thematic exhibitions that cover a broad spectrum of topics in Chinese art as well as a variety of artefacts and archaeological finds. These exhibitions are often complemented by lectures and international symposia. Art Museum curators are also involved in teaching university General Education and Fine Arts courses. It is also a training ground for the department's undergraduates and postgraduates, providing an on campus venue for its annual graduation exhibition and museum internship opportunities.
