Study Groups
offer members a chance to learn about a particular aspect of Chinese art,
history and culture. Each participant is expected to research a topic
they have selected under the umbrella of the study theme. Then he or she
presents the findings in the form of a talk, usually (not required) accompanied
by visuals, either slides or PowerPoint images.
Every presentation is different and no one is expected to be an expert.
The emphasis in our study groups is on learning, sharing knowledge and
making new friends in a relaxed, friendly environment.
The study-group fee is HK$150 (Friends/Helena May members) or HK$180 (non-members)
Last topics studied:

life and times of Admiral Zheng He: A study of the Ming era and the
