CUHK Business Students — Champions of Business Paper Contest

A four-student team from the Faculty of Business Administration secured the championship of the Business Administration Paper of the Year Award for the second year in a row on 18th February with their business paper, their unique perspectives, and their outstanding analytical and presentation skills. The team comprised three Integrated BBA undergraduates — Lilian Chan (right 2), Joyce Ho (left 3) and Vivian Wong (left 2), and one professional accountancy undergraduate — Hallas Cheung (right 3). Vivian also won the Best Presenter Award.

Now in its 20th year, the competition is organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Business Students. This year's event saw the participation of over 200 teams of business students from eight local tertiary institutions. Each team, acting as the consultant of a leading corporation specializing in financial planning services, was required to conduct market research and develop a mid-term business plan based on their findings. In the initial round, academic advisers in each of the eight institutions selected one team to represent their school based on written summary reports submitted by the teams.

The CUHK team performed brilliantly in the finals which included an oral presentation, a Q&A session, and a debate.
