- All ITSC computing resources must be used
in accordance with the policies and guidelines
stated in ITSC user reference RGEN002 Computer
Network Policies and Guidelines on Access
and Usage. The document is available at the
User Area and can be read on-line at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/itsc/publications/userdoc/rgen002.html.
- Users are suggested to read the corresponding
User's Guide before using the drive.
And ITSC is not responsible for any data
loss due to improper operating procedures.
- Users should be responsible for the care
and use of the Centre's facilities. They
may be liable to bear the cost of repairing
any damage to the facilities caused by negligence
or failure to adhere to the proper operating
procedures.
- Priority will be given to the users who
have reserved the Multi-media Applications
Authoring Station (which can be made through ITSC Electronic HelpDesk and
should be made three working days in advance)
. If the users have been late for 15 minutes
in using the reserved Multi-media Applications
Authoring Station, the station will be released
for other users.
- On writing a CD-ROM disk, the users must
be either the legal owners of the copied
data or have obtained permission from the
author of the copied data.
- Users will be liable for and indemnify
the Information Technology Services Centre
(ITSC) The Chinese University of Hong Kong,
against all liability and loss, whatsoever
incurred or suffered by the ITSC arising
out of any copyright or censorship dispute.
- The copied data must not contain any pornographic
content or materials or else the film censorship
or other relevant law in Hong Kong has been
complied with. The Information Technology
Services Centre bears no responsibility in
this respect.
Violation of the rules set above may result
in deprivation of rights to use ITSC facilities.
