The Information Technology Service Centre (ITSC), at Pi Ch'iu Building, offers a variety of services to the academic, research and administrative communities of the University. Her service arm does not just stop at technical support and application project development, but stretches to almost all corners of the University in areas like system recommendation, acquisition, installation and subsequent maintenance.

The ITSC is directed by Mr. Philip Leung and has recently undergone a reorganization to better align with the University's mission and serve its diverse user base.

The new structure, came into effect on 1 August 2007, consists of four divisions and two sections. The four divisions is each be led by an Associate Director / Assistant Director, and supported and deputized by senior computer officers / computer officers.

Four Divisions are,

1. Academic Support Division (ACAD) (Acting Head: Mr. Philip Leung)

• ACAD is responsible to support teaching and research of the University. The division is further divided into three teams including

  • Research Computing Team
  • Web Application Team

2. Administrative Systems Division (AMSD) (Associate Director: Mr. Aaron Li)

• AMSD supports the effective and efficient operation of the administration and makes information technology a strategic competitive tool for management. The division is supported by four teams including
  • Student Systems Team
  • Finance and Human Resources Systems Team
  • Departmental Solutions Team
  • Best Practice and Integration Team

3. Infrastructure Division (INFR) (Associate Director: Mr. Cheng Che Hoo)

• INFR provides a state-of-the-art infrastructure, and sufficient computing and networking resource and delivers a reliable operation. The division consists of two teams, they are

  • Campus Network Team
    

4. Technical Services Division (TSD) (Acting Assistant Director: Mr. Roger So and Mr. Thomas Tsui )

• TSD supports user community at large and facilitates ITSC in delivering a comprehensive function. The division includes three teams, they are

Two Functional Sections are,

1. Administrative Support Section (ADS) (Section Head: Ms Kennes Yuen)

• ADS provides internal office support to the ITSC and coordinates licensing matters of the University.

2. Information Security Section (ISS) (Section Head: Ms Christina Keing)

• ISS is responsible to establish information Security (IS) policy, introduce IS good practices and enhance IS awareness for the University at large. It also plays a coordinating and monitoring role when tackling security incidents.
