I.
Introduction
In
both of the User Areas at Pi Ch'iu Building
and Wong Foo Yuan Building, the Discussion
Rooms are located next to the Consultation
Room. This is a private and enclosed area for
group discussions. Inside these rooms, users
can use the available computers or use their
own laptops and connect to the campus network
via ClassNet.

II.
Guidelines for Using Discussion Rooms
-
Only group (2-7 users) reservations are
accepted. All users' computing ids must
be filled in the reservation form posted
at the entrance. Individuals should use
the workstation located in the User Areas or
training rooms.
- Reservations can be made for a maximum
of two hours per group per day.
- Reservations should be made
at least two hours before the scheduled
room is needed.
- Rooms that are not reserved are available
on a first come, first served basis.
- Rooms left vacant for more than 10 minutes
will be reassigned to other users in the
User Areas without further notice.
- Eating, drinking and smoking are NOT
allowed.
- ITSC will not be responsible for any
loss or damage to any personal belongings
in the room.
- Other rules stated in http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/itsc/about/cond.html still
apply in Discussion Rooms.
- Any abuse of the rooms may result in
revoking using of the Discussion Rooms.
III.
Making a Reservation
- University
staff and students may use the Discussion
Rooms any time that the User Areas are open.
They are located at Room 133 B & C
of Pi Ch'iu Building, and Room 103D of Wong
Foo Yuan Building.
- A
"Reservation Sheet for Discussion Room" is
posted at the entrance of each Discussion
Room.
- All
users should sign on
the Reservation Sheet by filling in their
computing id for the reserved sessions. They
will be asked to produce their CU Link cards
when using.
