1. Central Door Access Control System
This is a security solution cooperating with ITSC. Departmental users, e.g. colleges, faculties and departments buy the equipment and manage the system, with professional consultancy from ITSC. The system recommended under the scheme is secure yet manageable. The controlling server is maintained at ITSC.

2. Central Network-Based Surveillance Camera System
It is another security solution recommended by ITSC, where departmental users, e.g. colleges, faculties and departments buy the necessary hardware and ITSC assists in system management. The central network-based surveillance camera system utilizes the IP-based technology. It is easy to install, simple to manage, and remotely controllable.

3. Central Wi-Fi Service
This is a cooperation scheme between ITSC and departmental users, e.g. colleges, faculties and departments. Under the scheme, departmental users may estimate the areas of coverage, number of target users and budget to install Wi-Fi access in their own areas, e.g. meeting rooms, offices and laboratories. ITSC would then offer professional consultancy, help contact the vendor and provide technical support upon installation.

5. Data Wiping
Data Wiping Tool - Darik's Boot and Nuke (DBAN)
DBAN securely wipes the hard disks of most computers and will automatically and completely delete the contents of any hard disk that it can detect, which makes it an appropriate utility for bulk or emergency data destruction. DBAN is an open source software which is downloadable from its official website. Be cautious when using this software since data cannot be recovered after wiping, but the hard disk can still be reused.

6. e-Survey System
All users with a valid CWEM account can login to the eSurvey System to create free online surveys. A maximum of three questionnaires can be created at a time. Basic features include:

Display questions in pages for better readability

Four question types are supported, i.e. single choice selection, multiple choice selection, text response and date-type response

Collected responses can be imported to any other tools like SPSS or MS Excel for further analysis

7. Facility Management for Departments
Facility Management
By joining our facility management scheme, user departments will enjoy all-around IT supports provided by us. We will setup, manage and support the IT facilities, such as servers, printers, workstations and even the whole computer laboratory of the department.

8. Hardware and Software Acquisition
General Hardware Tenders and Acquisition Support
We conduct general hardware tendering exercise for PCs, servers, printers, notebook computers, firewalls and LCD display periodically. All departments could refer to the tenders for price references of various equipments.
Besides, we negotiate with software vendors for education software licenses. We also provide the software distribution and license coordination services. Users could also contact us for purchasing advice and equipment acquisition questions.

9. Hardware Fixing, Upgrade and Maintenance
a. Hardware Upgrade or Installation
We offer hardware upgrade services such as CPU, harddisk or memory upgrades. Also we provide hardware or software installation services on users' requests.
Charging Scheme

Without installation - the price of the parts (CPU, harddisk, memory etc.)

With installation service – the price of the parts plus $600 for 1-3 machines;
or plus $1200 for 4-10 machines

b. Hardware Maintenance
We provide hardware maintenance service on either contractual basis or one time basis. At present, we provide hardware maintenance for PC workstations, printers, servers, monitors, notebook computers, network equipments and scanners. With contract maintenance, we provide telephone consultation, on-site trouble shooting and hardware problem rectification. We also offer one-time hardware maintenance for charges per call.

c. Harddisk Data Recovery
User could send their malfunctioning or crashed harddisk to us for recovery; and we might send the harddisk to external company for data recovery when necessary.

10. SMS Gateway
Our SMS Gateway provides a Web interface for sending SMS messages to a large number of recipients. It costs you less than HK$1 for each SMS message sent. The SMS Gateway comes with the following nice features:
- Easy to use Web interface
- Send messages to a large number of recipients
- Tailor the message content for each recipient
- Import recipient information and message content from a file
- An option to send the message to recipients' e-mail addresses simultaneously
- Allows recipients to reply your SMS, e.g. respond to a multiple-choice question. Ideal for conducting polls or surveys
- Reporting function to track the status of messages sent

11. Video Conferencing and Web Conferencing
ITSC provides TWO types of real-time conference facilities - Video Conferencing and Web Conferencing. Staff are welcome to use these services to organize a meeting, interview staff for employment and students for admission, as well as face discussion on projects and case studies.
