1. Overview of Self-Service Printing, Photocopying and Scanning
Self-Service Printing
Self-Service Printing is available for all CUHK students, staff and visiting guests. This service enables you to send print jobs, via the campus network, from your own computer to the Self-Service Print Stations located at ITSC User Area (1/F, Pi Chiu Building) and WMY Learning Commons (6/F, Wu Ho Man Yuen Building) with more convenience.
To use the service, install the required printer software from this webpage. Next, send a print job to the self-service print queue. Finally, get your print job from the self-service print station. Printing will be charged by using Octopus. It is expected to have more print stations in the campus as more department / unit / college deploys the solution.
Photocopying
In addition to printing service, the self-service print stations at Pi Ch'iu User Area and WMY Learning Commons also provide photocopying service. Charging is the same as printing service. When using the service, please observe ITSC Policies and Guildlines on copyright infringement.
Scanning
You can use Scan to E-mail service with the self-service print stations at Pi Ch'iu User Area and WMY Learning Commons to obtain the scanned image via e-mail. During the trial period, the service is free of charge. However, while using this service, please mind the file size of the scanned image and your mailbox quota in order to avoid data loss during file transmissions. When using the service, please observe ITSC Policies and Guildlines on copyright infringement.
