What is VPN?

VPN, or Virtual Private Network in full, uses encryption and some security mechanisms to ensure that only authorized users can access the network to guarantee data security.

Campus users must set up a VPN connection on their computers when connecting through the network ports located at student hostels, classrooms, libraries and public areas.

While you are using a non-CUHK network connection (e.g. through a broadband service) to access restricted CUHK sites, you also need to set up a VPN connection over your ISP network. These restricted sites including
