I. Policy
In using ITSC facilities and services, department or faculty account holders are responsible
for adhering to university policies stated in
- Computing Responsibilities and Guidelines
- Providing and Administrating Shared Computers
connected to Campus Network (applicable for
student organizations that provide shared PCs

II. Computer Accounts & Services
- Application
Project leaders of departments or faculties can apply for the following computer accounts and ITSC services for their projects.
When the account is ready, a Computer Accounts Application Reply Slip will be sent to the department by postal mail. For
specific services (like hostname application), the project leader will also
be informed through ITSC Electronic HelpDesk
about the application result.

III. Computer Accounts & Services
- Renewal:
- Project accounts for departments or faculties usually expire one year after the project account is in effect specified in the computer account application reply slip.
However, the project leaders can renew the
accounts before the expiry date.
- ITSC would freeze the projects'
computer accounts (including their e-mails
and data files residing on servers) by resetting
their passwords one year after the project account is in effect specified in the computer account application reply slip.
- Project leaders
can contact ITSC to reactivate their accounts
by
- Printing out the section B and C III
of "Password
Reset, Additional Computer Resources
and Other Request Form", and;
- Returning the form to the Consultation
Room (User Area, Room 133A of Pi Ch'iu
Building) in person during office hours
or mail it to "Technical Services Division, Information Technology Services Centre"
When the account is ready, project leaders
will be notified through e-mail for collecting
the reply slip in person in the Consultation
Room (User Area, Room 133A Pi Ch'iu Building)
during office hours.
