All
registered University staff and students, with
a valid CU Link Card, are eligible for getting
the following computer accounts without
application. These computer accounts are created
automatically when you register to the University.
1. ITSC
PC LAN
for accessing the computers in
- User Areas (Room 127-133 of Pi Chiu
Building and Room 103 of Wong Foo Yuan Building) and
- some college,
faculty and student hostel computer laboratories;
and;
2. Campus-wide
E-mail System (CWEM)
for using
- E-mail system
- VPN and modemservices
(via ClassNet/ResNet/CUHKNet, Wireless LAN and modem connections)
- Personal
webpage service
- MyCUHK (access to many University administrative systems like course registration, employment related data enquiry, booking clinic services and sports facilities and many more)

Information for Staff
For
New Staff
After getting your CU Link Card, contact our consultant on-duty at
2609 8845 to request a Computer Accounts Application Reply Slip which
specifies your computing id and passwords. Relevant documents will
also be sent out by campus mail.
For Current Staff
If you have not
requested for a computer account before or have forgotten your password(s),
please contact our
consultant-on-duty at 2609 8845. The new password(s) will be sent
to you by campus mail.
Information for Students
For
New Students (Student ID 07xxxxxx)
If
you have not yet obtained your computer
accounts,
please collect it in person by presenting
your
CU Link Card to the consultant at Consultation
Room.
For
Current Students (Student ID 06xxxxxx or
before)
If you have not
requested a computer account before or have forgotten your password(s), you
have to collect the computer accounts in person with your CU Link Card
at Consultation Room.
Final year students should also note your account arrangement before you leave the University.
Information for
Others
You have to fill in a Temporary Account
Application Form and return it to the ITSC with an endorsement
from the associated department/unit chairman/head of the University.
