The following is the setup procedues of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations Version 6.0.3.837.

I. Download Kaspersky Anti-Virus
- You must have your CWEM password ready for download and registration.
- Your PC must connect to
the campus network. If you use your home
PC, you must run a CUHKNet VPN
connection over your subscribed ISP network
to connect your PC to the campus network.
- Your PC must meet the system
requirement
as specified at http://www.kaspersky.com/anti-virus_windows_workstation?ipcountry=HK#sr
- Go to the download page to download Kaspersky Anti-Virus Workstations Version 6.0.3.837:
- Programme File
- License Key File
- Configuration File
- You will be redirected to License Agreement page. Read the agreement carefully and click "I AGREE" if you accept this agreement.
- Fill in the registration form for verification.
- Upon completion of the form, click "Submit form" and the verification will proceed and bring to you below download screen.

II. Install Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Before the installation,
you should first
- Back up your important
files in other media like
CD-R so that you can retrieve your data files
in case of corruption during the installation. (Recommened)
- Disconnect your current Campus Network or other Internet connection.
- Uninstall your current version
of Kaspersky
or any other anti-virus software.
- Restart your computer (without any network connection) before installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus Version 6.0.3.837.

| 1. Double-click to open the setup file you have just downloaded from ITSC website. |
2. The system may prompt you a security alert message.
Click Run to open the file. |

3. The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations window should appear.
Click Next. |
 |
4. Choose a location to save your files.
Then click Next to extract the setup files. |
 |
5. The setup wizard of Kaspersky Anti-Virus will appear.
Click Next to continue. |
 |
6. For the End User License Agreement, select "I accept the terms of License Agreement".
And then click Next. |
 |
7. Select the destination folder in which to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
Then click Next. |
 |
| 8. Select Complete from Choose Setup Type. |
 |
9. Select Keep Windows Firewall enabled since Microsoft Windows Firewall is enough for anti-virus protection.
Then click Next. |

10. Check Enable Self-Defense before installation if necessary.
** When self-defense is enabled, remote control over the software will be prohibited.
Then click Install. |
 |
11. If the file has successfully been installed, the Installation complete message will appear.
Click Next to activate the software. |

III. Activate Kaspersky Anti-Virus
1. To activate Kaspersky Anti-Virus, please select Apply existing license key.
Then click Next. |

2. Click Browse... to find the License Key file (Refer to Download Kaspersky Anti-Virus point 4 ) you have downloaded before.
And click Next. |

3. The message "License key successfully installed." will be shown on screen.
Click Next to modify the settings. |

IV. Modify the settings for Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Please follow the steps below in order to finish the installation. When the installation is finished, modifications of those settings can be further done by importing the .cfg file into the software.
1. For Interactive protection, select Basic protection (recommended for most users).
Click Next. |

2. Select Every 2 hour(s) for Update mode.
Then click Next. |
 |
3. Select scan methods according to your need.
* It is recommended you scan your computer with Kaspersky Anti-Virus regularly in order to protect your computer.
Click Next to continue. |

4. Enable password protection if necessary.
Then click Next. |
 |
| 5. Click Next twice to continue. |

6. The message "Installation complete" will be shown.
Check Restart computer and click Finish. You computer would then restart. |

V. After Installation
a. Update the lastest version of Virus Signature
After restarting your computer, the system may prompt you to update the virus signatures to the latest version.
* Before running the update, remember to connect to the Internet first. |

b. Configuration
We have prepared you with template for the settings of Kaspersky Anti-Virus in order to save time for the configuration. The template should meet most users' basic needs. You may change the setting further for more advanced functions.

VI. Update with the latest
product components
To protect your PC against new viruses, spam,
and other kinds of harmful things, you should update the anti-virus software regularly. By default, Kaspersky Anti-Viruswill perform updates automatically. However, if you want to update it manually, you can follow
the steps below.
1. Have your network connection ready and right-click at the system tray. Then click Update. |

| 2. The update will automatically run. When the update is complete, click Close to close the window. |
