Backup important data and test the backup regularly

Risk Any disaster happened to your computer (e.g. disk corruption) may cause data loss. Besides, backup media may not be always reliable and data can¡¦t be restored.
Possible solutions
1. Use Backup Tools featured in Windows XP to back up data.
2. Test and restore the backup regularly.
How-to
1. Use Backup Tools featured in Windows XP:
     
  a. Click ¡§Start¡¨, point to ¡§All Programs¡¨, point to ¡§Accessories¡¨, point to ¡§System Tools¡¨, and then click ¡§Backup¡¨.
   
     
  b. Click ¡§Next¡¨. In the window that asks ¡§What do you want to do?¡¨ Click the circle next to ¡§Back up files and settings¡¨. Then click ¡§Next¡¨.
   
     
  c. Select ¡§Encrypt contents to secure data¡¨ and click ¡§OK¡¨.
   
     
  d. Choose a place to save your backup and type a name for the backup.
   
     
  e. Click ¡§Finish¡¨ to advance to backup progress.
   
     
  f. This is the final backup progress screen showing the final time elapsed and the total number of files processed.
