Mr
Yue Kwan Cheuk, the Founding Chairman of the
Japanese Studies Department at CUHK, was conferred The Order of the
Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, a very prestigious title granted by
the Japanese government to individuals who have made significant contributions
to Japanese studies or Japan's ties with foreign nations on the 11th of
June 2004.
