上古汉语的构词问题--评LAURENT SAGART:THE ROOTS OF OLD CHINESE

Abstract 摘要
Recently several scholars have discussed morphological issues in Archaic Chinese and reconstructed various types of affixes (Gong 2000; Pulleyblank 2000; Segart 1999). Here I would like to review Sagart's book. Before making an investigation into morphological problems, I propose to set up three general
principles as a foundation for further discussion:
1) Each Chinese character basically represents one syllable
2) Every afffix must have its meaning
3) The usage of an affix must be exceplified in pre-Qin texts
