Mr Christopher Ellis

Chris Ellis is part-time lecturer. He is a qualified barrister who practised for several years at the Criminal Bar of England and Wales as both prosecutor and defence counsel. Latterly, he also practised in the fields of personal injury and employment law.
In addition whilst practising in England, Chris also taught criminal law, public law, contract, tort and legal skills (advocacy, negotiation and conference skills) for a number of years. Since coming to Hong Kong in 2005 Chris has taught at various institutions in the core subjects of the criminal law of Hong Kong, contract and tort. Chris also has substantial experience of teaching criminal law and individual rights to Hong Kong locals, who need an understanding of those areas with regard to their employment (e.g. police officers, prison staff and immigration employees). He also tutors on occasional weekend seminars in the fields of criminal law and public law.
