Admission Criteria
The
programme lasts for two years. All full-time undergraduate
students who have at least two more years of study
at the University are welcome to apply. The annual
quota is about 30. The Selection Committee will expect
the applicants to have the intellectual ability, industry,
and character to make the most of the programme. Preferably,
the applicants should have:

a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in the previous term
- endorsement obtained from the major department
- leadershp potential as evidenced in relevant experience
in the University, at school or in other under-takings
- good communication skills with high proficiency
in both Chinese and English
A written test and a group interview will be conducted
to select the best candidates.
Applicants
should be prepared to attend classes on weekday evenings,
Saturday afternoons, and during the summer.
Completion Requirements
Students
are required to attend no less than 70% of the classes
for each of the courses in the programme and to achieve
a pass in all these courses in order to complete this
programme. Upon successfully completing the programme,
students will be awarded a certificate.
The
grades received in the courses will be included in
the calculation of the overall GPA in each semester.
Admission Schedule
The
admission exercise usually starts in January every
year. Calls for applications will be announced through
mass emails, posters, the University Market Place,
the CUHK homepage, and the Leadership Development
Programme homepage. Short-listed applicants will be
invited to sit for a written test and attend an interview
with the Selection Committee in late March or early
April. |
