Ho-keung NG¡]§d¯E±j¡^ MB ChB (Edin.), MD, FRCPath, FRCPA, FCAP, FFPathRCPI, MIAC, FHKC Path H.K. Ng is Department Chairman and Chief of Service. His interests are in the molecular genetics of brain tumours, especially medulloblastoma and glioma and the use of neural and embryonic stem cell in cell therapy. He is also Associate Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Medicine and Vice Director of the State Key Laboratory of Oncology (South China), China. He is on the Editorial Boards of Pathology, Neuropathology and Applied Neurobiology, Acta Neuropathologica, Clinical Neuropathology, Chinese Journal of Neuro-oncology and Chinese Journal of Pathology. He was a member of the Consensus Group of the 2007 WHO classification of the brain tumours. His major international professional activities are : a Vice President of the International Academy of Pathology since 1999, Chairman of the Association of Directors of Pathology of China (http://www.acp.cuhk.edu.hk/adpc) since 1998, Secretary of the Medical Education Association of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong (http://www.mea.org.hk) and a Council Member of Association of the Study of Medical Education (ASME) of UK. Locally, he is the Chairman of the Licentiate Examination Subcommittee of the Licentiate Committee, Hong Kong Medical Council. |
