  • Investigation on the molecular basis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC)

  • Identification of the genetic and epigenetic changes involved in NPC tumorigenesis by molecular genetic and molecular cytogenetic study.

  • Isolation of the hypermethylated CpG islands and aberrant expressed genes in NPC.

  • Characterization of the functions of cancer-related genes in NPC.

  • Investigation of the viral-host interaction of the Epstein-Barr virus in NPC.

  • Development of the molecular markers for early diagnosis, prognosis and disease monitoring.
