Establishment of the CUHK Nursing Alumni Association | |
The Nursing Alumni Association was established in December 1998 with 130 full members. It plays an important role in the professional development of nursing in Hong Kong and aims to support the School and its graduate members.

Executive Committee
The first Executive Committee was elected at the first Annual General Meeting of the Association in January 1999, and its members included: Mr Alfred Tse (Chairman), Mr Dominic Ng (Vice Chairman), Mr Victor Lau, Mr Lai Kai Ming, Ms Irene Shek Wong, Mr Wong Ka Fai, Ms Yuen Pui-Shan, Ms Lai Po-Fung, and Mr Chien Wai-Tong.

Membership of the Association is confirmed to individuals who are connected in the following manner with the Nethersole School of Nursing or the Association, and consists of the following classes:

Regular Member: any graduate of the Nethersole School of Nursing or any person who has at any time been a member of the teaching or academic staff of the Nethersole School of Nursing. |
|
Honorary Member: any individual (regardless of their profession or connection to the Nethersole School of Nursing or whether he is a nurse) who is in the opinion of the Committee a person of outstanding achievement or distinction and who has accepted the invitation of the Committee to become a Honorary Member of the Association. |
|
Life Member: the one who has the same rights and obligations as regular member, but are not required to pay any annual subscription fees. |
