We are proud to deliver nursing education of an international standard. The University motto of leadership and service reflects our commitment to the promotion of the nursing profession in Hong Kong through our links with practice, and our firm belief that clinical practice should be based on good research evidence where possible. Our teachers promote a better knowledge of Hong Kong health care through their research and publications in international journals. Our postgraduate students contribute to our research and publishing activities, thus improving their career prospects.

The Nethersole School of Nursing houses the Hong Kong Centre for Evidence-Based Nursing and the Nethersole Nursing Practice Research Unit. In partnership with the local hospitals, the Centres evaluate and disseminate clinical research findings. It is also an excellent resource for students and staff. We value our increasing links with nurses in the Asia Pacific region and benefit from formal links that the University and Faculty have with Universities in the UK, USA, Australia, Mainland China, Japan and Taiwan.

Clinical practice, an important part of our courses, prepares nurses to advance their specialist areas of practice. Our audio-visual and clinical teaching laboratories provide students with the optimum learning experience.

We welcome high calibre students to this dynamic School. Our courses are demanding, but hard work will earn students degrees that are internationally recognised. We are proud that our graduates have advanced their careers because of qualifications gained here.
