Carcinoma of the colorectum is one of the commonest cancers in the western world and in Hong Kong. Most cases occur on the left side of the colon or the rectum and produce either obstructive or bleeding symptoms. Macroscopically, there are several patterns. This picture shows a cauliflower-like protuding mass with constriction of the bowel lumen.
