This is the histology of the biopsy taken from the cervix shown in the two previous illustrations. There is full thickness dysplasia of the epithelial cells which are pleomorphic, disorganized, show no maturation and mitoses are present. The basement membrane is intact. Note some normal columnar epithelium. This is a CIN3 lesion.
