Prof. Hui-ming TANG

Prof Tang graduated from Peking Union Medical College in 1957 and worked in the department of ophthalmology. In 1965, she was transferred to Shantou, Guangdong Province. After that she served in Shantou Central Hospital, Shantou University Medical College eye department. When working in the Shantou University Medical College, Prof Tang worked as the chairman of ophthalmologic teaching and research group. She participated to establish the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College from 1987, and served as the assistant director and director of the hospital in succession. She has been the chief of Shantou University / The Chinese University of Hong Kong Joint Eye Center since 1998. The construction is successfully completed in October 2001.

In her more than 40 years working in ophthalmology, Prof Tang have trained lot of oculist for the area, and helped a great number of patients suffered from eye deseases. Her articles were published, and one was awarded the second prize of Shantou Technological Advancement. And she has been honored with the title "Guangdong Provincial Outstanding Hospital Director".

唐慧明教授

唐慧明教授1957年畢業於北京協和醫學院，並服務於協和醫學院眼科。1965年調到廣東省汕頭市，服務於汕頭市中心醫院、汕大醫學院前身汕頭醫專和汕大醫學院等，任汕大醫學院眼科教研組主任。1987年起參加籌建汕大醫學院第一附屬醫院，任副院長、院長。1998年起籌建汕頭大學-香港中文大學聯合眼科中心。該中心大樓已於2001年10月投入使用。

唐慧明教授在40多年的眼科工作中，為潮汕地區培養許多眼科工作者，為無數眼科患者解除疾苦。她已發表多篇論文，並曾獲"汕頭市科技進步二等獎"、"廣東省優秀院長"等稱號。
