Chan Wai-kwong Victor

Victor Chan (PhD, University of York, UK) is an active composer, conductor and promoter of contemporary music. His works have been widely performed and have officially represented Hong Kong on numerous international events, including the Asian Composers' League Festivals, the UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers Conference, and the Tanglewood Music Festival. His latest works include "Hui" (Symphonic Fantasia) (in celebration of the 1997 reunification of Hong Kong and China), 'Fanfare for Orchestra' (commissioned for the opening of the 1997 WBG/IMF Annual Meetings', 'From Within' (released in 1999 by Global Music Network, UK), 'Dreams Afar' (commissioned for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France), and 'Cherished Moments' (commissioned to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the PRC).
