Endeavour Research Fellowship 2013
(Deadline: 30 June 2012, 11:59am Australian Eastern Standard Time)
Applications for the Endeavour Research Fellowship 2013 are now opened from 1 April to 30 June 2012. The Endeavour Research Fellowship provides financial support for research postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from participating countries (including Hong Kong) to undertake short-term research attachments (4-6 months) in Australia.

- Successful candidates are required to commence the Award between 1 January and 30 November 2013.
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicants must be citizens and/or permanent residents of a participating country (including Hong Kong) and may not hold dual citizenship with Australia.
- Postgraduate applicants must be enrolled in a Master's or PhD programme in a participating country (including Hong Kong) and have completed an undergraduate degree (minimum) at the time of application, demonstrating high academic achievement.
- Post-doc applicants must have had their PhD conferred and received their final results prior to the commencement of their Award.
- Applicants must be nominated by their host institution and provide a completed nomination form from the host institution with their application.
- Proof of English language proficiency – Applicants must provide one of the following (a, b or c) to satisfy documentation requirements.
- English language proficiency tests (the test must be taken within the recent two years):

OR - A certified academic transcript as proof of completion of one full year of university study conducted in English within the last ten years in one of the following listed countries: Australia, American Samoa, Canada, Fiji, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland), USA, or Zambia. Applicants must have studied physically in the listed country (not by correspondence).
OR
- Confirmation from the host organization (as per the Endeavour Awards Nomination Form) that the applicant’s language ability is suitable for the proposed programme.
Please note that the above eligibility requirements are only for the Endeavour Awards. Applicants will still need to meet English language requirements for entry into the proposed organization/institution if required.
Application and Result Announcement
- Applications are opened from 1 April 2012 till 11:59PM Australian Eastern Standard Time on 30 June 2012.
- Read the Applicant Guidelines carefully for the application procedure and supporting documents required. Incomplete application or late submission of supporting documents will not be given consideration.
- Applications should be submitted through Endeavour Online. Upon submission of an application, an email acknowledging receipt of the application will automatically be generated and forwarded to the email address (user ID) used to submit the application. - The selection results will be announced through email by the end of November 2012.

It is the responsibility of Award Holders to apply for and satisfy the requirements for the issue of an appropriate entry visa to Australia. The offer of an Award does not guarantee the granting of a visa and is conditional upon gaining a visa. Any costs associated with obtaining the visa is the responsibility of the Award Holder.
