There are TWELVE sections
in the form. Please get the information ready before you
login the online application system. |

Personal Data: Your particulars, general
information of your study in CUHK and contact information. |

Education Background: Your studies and qualifications
granted from secondary and post-secondary schools. |

Academic Performance: Your results in HKCEE
and HKALE, and GPA(s) in CUHK, if any. |

TOEFL / IELTS Score: Your TOEFL and IELTS
Scores, if any. |

Other Language Proficiency: Your non-English language
proficiency or studies, if any. |

Honours & Prizes: Academic awards that
you obtained in secondary schools and/or at university, if any. |

Step 2 – Learn the Important Notes |
|
| |
To get your online application smoothly done,
please note the following: |
|
| |
|
Note 1 |

Save your
Form Frequently: There is a “Save Draft” button
at the bottom of the form, please remember to save your draft for
every 15 minutes to secure your inputted data. An auto-email will be sent to your CUHK
email account to acknowledge the saving. |
|

|
Note 2 |
- |
Beware of
Page Time-out: A (web) page of the
online application will expire if you leave it idle for 20 minutes. Remember to save your draft before you leave
your work station or switch to other matters. Otherwise, you will need to input your data
all over again into the form. |
|

|
Note 3 |
- |
Adjust the
Resolution of your Computer: Use PC resolution of 1024 x 768 (96DPI)
with Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher to get the best view of the form. You
may miss some important parts if using other resolutions. Follow this path to adjust the resolution
before you login: Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Display
-> Settings ->Set Screen Resolution to 1024 by 768 pixels |

only: Use English only for
all your inputs into the form. No
Chinese or non-English characters are acceptable. |

Step 3 – Create, Complete and Submit Application

Login and Create your Application: Use your Student ID and CWEM
password to login and create your application. |
|
| |
|
Note 2 |
|
Fill in all Asterisked Fields: Note that fields marked with
asterisks “*” must be filled in with valid data. Leave any of them empty or have them
filled with invalid data will lead to application failure. |
|

|
Note 3 |
|
Submit and Confirm your Submission: Applicants must click the “Submit” and
then the “Accept” buttons (at the form bottom) to get an online application
successfully submitted to OAL. An auto-email will be sent to your
preferred email account to confirm the receipt of your application. |

You may encounter problems and miss some important parts if you use other web browsers or Internet Explorer higher than version 6.0.

(Once you have submitted your
application, please check your email account frequently for
the important messages from us and to ensure that the account
is functioning properly, and with, at least 200KB, email storage space all the time.)
Applications for College/Faculty/Departmental
exchange (except BBA exchange, Engineering & Science exchange)
should be submitted to respective colleges/faculty offices/departments. |

Step 4 – Review and Amend Submitted Application |
|

|
Note 1 |
|
Review your Application: Use
your Student ID and CWEM password to login and review your submitted
application throughout the selection period. |
|
| |
|
Note 2 |
|
Amend your Application
Data: Before the deadline for application, you can make amendment(s)
on your submitted application by simply logging in the system and
pressing the “Confirm Amendment” button to submit the change to
OAL when the amendments are done. An auto-email will be sent to
your preferred email account to confirm the data update. |
