Taiwan University is the oldest university in Taiwan and is said to be the most prestigious institution of higher education in Taiwan. Founded in 1928 (officially established in 1945), Taiwan University has a population of over 33,000 students and composes of 9 faculties and colleges (Liberal Arts; Science; Social Sciences; Medicine; Engineering; Agriculture; Public Health; Electrical Engineering & Computer Science; and Law).

      One year undergraduate and postgraduate exchange programmme

      Chinese (Putonghua)  
         
    III. Eligibility  
      1. For undergraduate and postgraduate students who have completed one year of university studies at CUHK  
      2. In good academic standing with 3.0+ GPA  
      3. Good knowledge of Putonghua
 
         
    IV. Term Dates
 
      Academic year (September to June)  
      Term dates (first term September to January) (second term February to June)  
               
    V. Insurance
 
      Students are required to carry their own medical and accident insurance plans worth a minimum of NT$1,000,000 valid for the whole exchange period  
               
    VI. Housing
 
      On-campus residence halls (paying approximately NT$ 10,200 per month)
 
               
    VII. Living Expenses

      2. Living costs:  
          Food (approximately NT$ 6,000 per month)
