Assessment  
 

You will be assessed for every course for which you register at CUHK on the basis of your performance. CUHK uses letter grades, and all courses must be taken for a grade There is no "Pass/No Pass" or "Withdrawal" option.

 
  Criteria for assessment may include any one or any combination of the following: attendance, class work, written work, laboratory work, field work, research papers, tests, examinations, and any other criteria.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is fully accredited as a University of the Commonwealth, and is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Credits earned at CUHK by study abroad or exchange students have been readily recognized by their home institutions.
