At CUHK, many courses use examinations as criteria for assessment. Some courses may participate in the Centralized Examination Scheme, meaning that the final examination will be arranged by the computer centrally and held during the centralized examination period. Other courses may just have examinations scheduled according to the teacher’s / students’ preference.

  Centralized Examinations
The draft centralized examination timetable will normally be announced in late October / early November in the first semester, and early March in the second semester. Please talk to your teacher immediately after the draft examination timetable is released if you cannot participate in the examination at the scheduled date and time. Bear in mind that request for change of examination date due to personal reasons or engagement, e.g. making an overseas trip, taking driving licence test etc, will NOT be entertained.

  Centralized Examination Timetable
The centralized examinations are usually held in mid-December in the first semester and late April in the second semester. You can check the examination timetable at the web site of the Registration and Examinations Section http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/rgs.
