
The International Asian Studies Programme, administered by the
Office of Academic Links, provides an array of cultural activities
to all exchange and study abroad students besides the academic programme.
They include:
Orientation
An Orientation will prepare you for your stay and study at CUHK.
It covers information on the curriculum, student life at the University,
Chinese culture, Hong Kong society, and support services provided
by staff at the Office of Academic Links. The Orientation is also
an excellent opportunity for you to get acquainted with other
foreign students. The Orientation includes:

Field Trips
You will see the business world and government in action through
visiting local organizations in the commercial and government
sectors.
Teaching-in-China Programmes
These weekend teaching visits will give you the chance to teach
English (or Japanese for Japanese students) and engage in cultural
exchange with Chinese youths in Southern China.
Rural Schools Service Project
You will gain community service experience in teaching English to local primary study. You will be invited to join cultural activities exclusively to participants in the project, to enhance you understanding of Hong Kong and Chinese traditional culture.
One-day Excursion
A full day excursion explores the unknown beauty
of Hong Kong, its mountains, local villages, and markets.
