To forge and facilitate academic exchanges and
collaboration between CUHK and institutions in the
mainland, Taiwan and Macau;

To establish a positive image of CUHK in the mainland,
Taiwan and Macau as a first-class comprehensive
research university whose scholarly output
consistently meets standards of excellence; and

To develop and maintain sustainable links with
strategic key partners in the mainland, Taiwan and
Macau .

Execute policies formulated by the Committee on Academic
Links;

Forge close relationships between the University and
institutions on the mainland and across the Taiwan
Straits, especially to develop collaboration projects with strategic key partners;

Link up academic and administrative units with institutions on the mainland and across the straits so as to develop partnership and linkages;

Arrange incoming and outgoing visits;

Organise academic exchange activities, e.g.
conferences, seminars and training programmes;

Organise student interflow programmes, e.g. visits, competitions and research placements;

Manage academic exchange funds;
-
Offer the latest updates on the development of tertiary
education and academic links in the mainland and
Taiwan; and
-
Assist the University and Faculties academic exchange
initiatives on the mainland via the
Beijing Liaison
Office.
