The Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) provides students with state-of-art fundamental computer facilities and a variety of services. As the one-stop University portal, MyCUHK allows students to access campus news, Chinese University Student Information System (CUSIS) and a wide range of online services such as CUHK Webmail and e-learning platform. Apart from using computers in Computer User Areas located on the 1/F of Pi Ch’iu Building (open 24-hour) and in Room 103 of Wong Foo Yuan Building, students can also access the campus network (through wired or wireless connections) on campus using their own computers. Moreover, by simply registering for an account in the CUHK Wi-Fi Hotspot Partnership Programme, students can have a free Wi-Fi Internet access at all the off-campus hotspots operated by PCCW, Y5ZONE and eduroam. In the beginning of semester, students can purchase notebooks and related accessories at a substantial discount. ITSC also provides students with network security solutions such as spam filtering services, free use of anti-virus software, etc.
