The CUHK International Summer School offers you an opportunity to learn and live alongside other academic achievers from a range of cultures.  International students can immerse themselves in a multicultural environment and gain insights into Asian cultures, experience a different learning environment on the green, spacious campus of CUHK outside of regular term time, and enjoy the many pleasures of summer in Hong Kong – Asia’s world city.  CUHK and local students can have a taste of cultural exchange with international students without going abroad.

Academics from CUHK and renowned overseas universities, such as Harvard University, New York University and University of South Carolina have been invited to teach in the programme.  All of them are excellent teachers, and many are frontrunners in research in  their respective fields of studies.

In 2007, some 500 students attended the International Summer School; more than half of whom came from about 30 countries around the world.  They made the programme truly international.

In 2008, in addition to Putonghua and Cantonese courses, a number of much sought-after business, humanities and social science courses with Asian or Chinese perspectives will be offered from 27 June to 4 August.  We accept applications for admission to the programme from 1
 February to 30 April 2008.
