Tatiana Kostova
(PhD, University of Minnesota) is a Professor of International Business and Moore Research Fellow at the University of South Carolina, Moore School of Business - the #1 International Business Program ranked by the U.S. News and World Report. She teaches courses in international management, organizational behavior, and business environment in Europe at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels and has consistently received excellent teaching evaluations and awards. Professor Kostova's primary research interests are in the area of management of multinational corporations (MNC). Specifically, she studies cross-border transfer of best management practices in MNCs, formation of cross-border social capital and its effects on knowledge sharing on global R&D teams, dual identification of subsidiary managers, effects of culture on social networks in organizations, and others. Her research has been published in leading management journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and others. She has served as Department Editor of the Journal of International Business Studies and is on the editorial boards of several leading management journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, and Journal of International Business Studies. Professor Kostova currently serves as the Chair of the International Management Division of the Academy of Management and as Vice-President of the Academy of International Business.
