About CUHK

The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Established in 1963 with a mission "to combine tradition with modernity, to bring together China and the West", The Chinese University of Hong Kong has gone from strength to strength over the past four decades.  It has developed into an academic institution of international standing, well known for its excellence in teaching and research.

One of the unique features of our University is its collegiate system, which has helped to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for its students. Through a wide range of college activities, you will be able to interact closely with your teachers and peers, and benefit from the pastoral care and whole-person education that our constituent colleges offer.

Our University is also home to an increasingly multinational student community. Here you learn to live and work in harmony with those who are very different from you. You will develop new ways of looking at things and handling problems, and cultivate a more cosmopolitan outlook.

The majority of our academic programmes involve internships in local businesses and exchange opportunities in prestigious institutions overseas. You will gain immensely from blending workplace experience with academic knowledge, and from exposure to exciting foreign cultures.

We offer a number of undergraduate programmes to local, mainland and international students.  You can refer to the webpage of our Office of Admissions and Financial Aid for details.
