Course Description

This course deals with the study of optimum utilization of human resources within a working organization. The primary focus is on the application of behavioural science concepts to analyse the human resource problems which affect organizational performance. Major topics include manpower planning, job analysis, recruitment, training and development, motivation and maintenance of the work force, communication, performance evaluation, compensation, employee relations, quality of work life and career management. Prerequisite: HTMG1010 / MGNT1010 / MGNT1020. (The prerequisite can be waived for non-CUHK students who are business majors or minors or with permission from instructor.)
