The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s International Summer School (ISS) provides you with an exceptional opportunity to combine high-quality learning with an unforgettable summer experience. While attending, students can learn and live alongside other academic achievers from a range of cultures. International students can immerse themselves in a multicultural environment and gain insights into Asian cultures, experience a unique learning environment on the green, spacious campus of CUHK outside regular term time, and enjoy the many pleasures of summer in Hong Kong – Asia’s world city. CUHK and local students can have a taste of cultural exchange with international students without going abroad.
In 2012, around 650 students attended the ISS; 75% of them came from 36 places around the world. They made the programme truly international.
The 2013 ISS programme spans five weeks from early July. Courses in business, engineering, environment science, humanities and social science will be offered, in addition to Putonghua and Cantonese. These courses will be taught by outstanding academics from CUHK and prestigious overseas universities. All of these academics are excellent teachers and many of them are research frontrunners in their respective fields of study.
Online application for admission begins from 9 am (Hong Kong time) on 18 February 2013. Full-time undergraduates and high school seniors who have received a confirmed offer from a recognized university are welcome.
