China Tour (optional)
 

An optional 5-day tour to Beijing, China will be held after the programme from 31 August to 4 September 2013 for students to appreciate the past, the present and the future development of China. Cultural, tourist and historical spots may include the following:



- Tiananmen Square
- Forbidden City
- Summer Palace
- Great Wall
- Temple of Heaven
- Ming Tombs
- 2008 Olympic Sites (The Nest and the Water Cube)
- Hutong Travel
- Wangfujin Street (pedestrian heaven in Beijing)
- Foot Massage
- Beijing Opera


Notes:

(1) This Beijing tour will proceed if there are enough participants. Confirmation will be available by the end of the application period on 31 May 2013.
(2) The above list is tentative and subject to change without prior notice.
(3) The tour fee (with air-ticket) is HK$5,500 which covers (i) Round trip transportation between HK and Beijing. (ii) 4-night accommodation in a twin room of the designated hotel of at least 3-star rating, (iii) admission tickets to selected spots, (iv) meals and (iv) accident insurance and medical insurance incurred by accident. The fee does not cover a China visa, if required, the single room surcharge, air-ticket extension or room extension.
(4) Students who do not need air-tickets between Hong Kong and Beijing may arrange their own air-tickets for the tour and pay a reduced tour fee of HK$4,000. (Please refer to Q.14 under FAQ for more information.)
(5) Students who need a China visa for travel to mainland China should apply for the visa from the Embassy or Consulate-General of Peoples' Republic of China at their place of residence before coming to Hong Kong.
