Fee Reduction for Outstanding Students

The Summer Institute programme is available at a reduced programme fee to students with outstanding academic credentials.

Reduced Programme Fee: HK$2,000

Eligibility for applying for the Fee Reduction:

If an applicant fulfils any of the 4 criteria below, he/she may apply for the Fee Reduction via the online application system:

Application Procedure

Students who have obtained A* in four or more subjects (excluding Chinese) in the GCSE/ IGCSE

1.	Choose Yes as your answer in Section 6 of the online application system.
2.	Upload your official transcript(s)/ certificate(s) of the exams or the programme via the online application system.

Participants of the Program for the Gifted and Talented organized by CUHK

Participants of the Science Academy for Young Talent organized by CUHK

Students of Hong Kong secondary schools studying the New Senior Secondary (NSS) academic curriculum who are recommended by their school as having excellent academic credentials

(i.e. students who are ranked top 10% in the form for the 4 core subjects: Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Liberal Studies, in S.4 final exam and S.5 first exam)

1.	Choose Yes as your answer in Section 6 of the online application system.
2.	Upload your school reports of the stipulated exams via the online application system.
3.	Download a School Recommendation Form for your school principal’s completion and then post it back to the CUHK Office of Summer Programmes.

Note:

	All transcripts/ certificates/ reports should be combined and uploaded to the online application system in ONE PDF file (max. size: 2Mb)
	You may send supplementary documents to si@cuhk.edu.hk in ONE PDF file with your application number and name (as provided in your application) quoted within 3 days upon your application submission.
