Background

The University has a policy to ensure students with disabilities can actively participate in their pursuit of higher education and to provide special services for the disabled members of the University.

According to the recommendation of the Working Group on Disability Planning, the Disability Services Co-ordinating Committee was established. It is to provide a comprehensive range of services and facilities for students with mobility disability, hearing impairment, visual impairment, other disabilities and medical conditions.

Disability Services include the following:

- suitable accommodations 
- transportation
- access to buildings
- access to library facilities
- access to computer and information facilities
- special lecture or examination arrangement
- telecommunications
- learning aids and equipment
- counseling for personal growth and development 

- career counseling
