Admission Requirements - CUHK accepts application to IBCE (4288) starting from 2010-2011.

JUPAS - HKALE (3-year Curriculum)

JUPAS applicants seeking admission on the strength of their Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) results must have obtained the following requirements:

JUPAS - HKDSE (4-year Curriculum)

JUPAS applicants seeking admission on the strength of their Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination results must have obtained the following requirements:

(1) Level 5 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language; AND

(2) Level 3 or above in both Mathematics and Liberal Studies; AND

(3) Level 3 or above in any elective subject; AND

(4) a minimum TOEFL score at 600 (paper) / 250 (computer) / 100 (internet) or a minimum IELTS score at 7.0* or native speaker documentation

Non-JUPAS

For non-JUPAS applicants, their applications will be considered case by case, provided that they have obtained a minimum TOEFL score at 600 (paper) / 250 (computer) / 100 (internet) or a minimum IELTS score at 7.0* or native speaker documentation. In 2012 entry, non-JUPAS applicants are strongly recommended to apply for the 3-year curriculum.

* Applicants should have attained the required TOEFL or IELTS standard before interview.
** For applicants who take HKALE in their secondary 6 and 7, the results of both sittings will be considered.
