Q1: If students have not taken TOEFL/IELTS yet, can they still apply?
A1: Yes. Applicants are required to have their TOEFL/IELTS score ready by the time they attend the interview.
Q2: Will SAT results be considered if the student didn’t take TOEFL/IELTS?
A2: No.
Q3: Does it help for admission if I speak Putonghua or other foreign languages?
A3: No. We expect IBCE graduates, but not applicants, to be proficient in Putonghua.
Q4: Does a higher TOEFL/IELTS score help?
A4: Meeting the minimum requirement is good enough.
Q5: If I fail to obtain Level 5 in HKDSE English Language, can I sit for TOEFL again? If my TOEFL/IELTS score is high, will I be considered as having met the entrance requirements?
A5: No. Students should meet both the requirements of HKDSE English Language, and TOEFL/IELTS.
