新任講座教授
Prof. Carmel McNaught分別於一九七零年及七六年取得蒙納殊大學的理學士及教育碩士學位，一九九五年獲納塔爾大學頒授哲學博士學位。 她在蒙納殊大學、津巴布韋大學、納塔爾大學、墨爾本大學、La Trobe 大學及RMIT大學任教達二十七年；一九九九年起出任RMIT大學學習技術服務專業發展主任。 她的研究興趣為高等教育電腦輔助學習之設計與成效，以及利用電腦輔助學習設施的教育理念和實踐。過去十年，她取得十四項研究撥款，出版了近百種學術著作和報告。 Prof. Carmel McNaught has been appointed professor of learning enhancement at the University's Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research (CLEAR) from 16th January 2002. She also has a cross appointment at the Faculty of Education. Prof. McNaught obtained her B.Sc. and her Master of Education from Monash University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Natal. She has taught for 27 years at universities including Monash University, the University of Zimbabwe, the University of Natal, the University of Melbourne, La Trobe University, and RMIT University. From 1999 to 2001, she was the head of professional development, Learning Technology Services, at RMIT University. Prof. McNaught's key research interests include investigating the relationships between the design and outcomes of computer-facilitated learning in higher education and the educational conceptions and practices of academics who develop and use such technology. Her work over the past decade has been supported by some 14 research grants and has led to the publication of 23 books and book chapters, 22 referred journals, 34 referred conference papers, 20 reports and occasional papers. As an academic staff member of CLEAR, Prof. McNaught is ready to help members of the University in teaching and learning methodologies, especially in the area of active learning. 各投資經理將分析其管理之基金的最新投資表現並展望年內之投資環境。報告後有答問環節，亦歡迎成員於LT-1室外與投資經理傾談。各成員務請踴躍出席。 Two sessions of investment forum will be held on 8th and 15th March 2002 from 12.45 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. at LT-1 of Mong Man Wai Building. Details are as follows:
The investment managers will assess the past performance of the funds concerned and the market outlook for the rest of 2002. There will be a Q&A session after the presentation. The forum will be conducted in Cantonese with simultaneous translation in English. Presentation materials in English will also be available for distribution. Members are welcome to discuss informally with the investment managers at the foyer of the lecture theatre.
共濟會研究東亞學科基金現接受大學同人申請二零零二年度的資助。 該基金乃為資助及促進香港專上院校對東亞之學術研究而設。資助形式包括贊助學術研究、公開講座及出版專書。資助額可為有關活動之全部或部分費用。 申請人須把填妥之申請表及撮要表，於二零零二年三月二十八日前經有關系主任及學院院長，或部門主管，送交人事處人事主任盧杜燕萍女士，俾轉呈校內有關委員會考慮。有關資料及表格已送交各學院院長。查詢可致電人事處（內線七二八八或七一九一）。 The Freemasons' Fund for East Asian Studies now invites one sponsored application from the University for a grant to subsidize studies relevant to East Asia in 2002. Full or partial support can be given in the form of research fellowships and sponsorships for surveys, pubic lectures, and publications. Applications endorsed by department chairmen/faculty deans or unit heads concerned should be forwarded with a completed application form and a summary form to Mrs. Betty Lo, personnel manager, on or before 28th March 2002 for submission to the relevant University committees for consideration. Details of the fund and application forms have already been sent to faculty deans. Extra copies are obtainable from the Personnel Office (Ext. 7288/7191). Since September 2001, the old Postgraduate Hall Complex located on Clinic Road has moved to the former University Residences No. 5 to No. 9 along Residence Road. Including the New Postgraduate Hall adjacent to the University Sports Centre, there are now a total of six Postgraduate Halls. These buildings have been renamed as follows:

保健處將於本月十一至二十二日舉辦預防肝炎運動，在保健醫療中心展出有關肝炎的資料，提供健康諮詢服務，為教職員及其家屬和學生檢驗肝炎抗原及抗體，並為有需要者注射疫苗。 抽血檢驗於三月十四及十五日上午九時至中午十二時半，以及下午二時至四時半在保健醫療中心進行，費用為一百元。欲注射乙型肝炎疫苗者，必須驗血；欲注射甲型肝炎疫苗者，則可選擇直接注射。 注射甲型肝炎疫苗（兩劑）每劑費用二百二十五元，乙型肝炎疫苗（三劑）每劑七十元，而混合甲乙型肝炎疫苗（三劑）則每劑二百二十元。疫苗注射日期訂於三月二十一及二十二日、四月十八及十九日，以及九月十九及二十日進行，時間為上午九時至中午十二時半，以及下午二時至四時半。 The University Health Service will hold a Hepatitis Awareness Campaign in the month of March. Vaccination at the health centre for Hepatitis A is available in two doses at HK$225 per dose, while that for Hepatitis B is available in three doses at HK$70 per dose. A three-dose regimen for combined Hepatitis A and B is also available at HK$220 per dose. Vaccination dates for the first dose are 21st and 22nd March 2002, those for the second dose are 18th and 19th April 2002, while those for the third are 19th and 20th September 2002. A pre-vaccination blood test is required for Hepatitis B and optional for Hepatitis A. Blood tests are administered on 14th and 15th March 2002 at HK$100 each from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. An exhibition on hepatitis will run from 11th to 22nd March. A health counselling service is also available.

為慶祝崇基學院金禧校慶，崇基學院、音樂系和大學圖書館系統合辦「崇基學院金禧校慶展覽：香港粵劇八十年（1920-2000）」，於崇基牟路思怡圖書館展出音樂系收藏之薛覺先藏品、任白藏品、神功戲資料，以及大學圖書館系統的有關藏書，展期至本月三十日止。歡迎參觀。 校外人士也可於期內的星期日下午一至七時蒞校參觀。 Chung Chi College, the Department of Music, and the Univeristy Library System are jointly presenting An Exhibiton of Eight Decades of Cantonese Opera in Hong Kong (1920-2000) from 1st March to 30th March 2002 at the Elisabeth Luce Moore Library to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Chung Chi College. All University members are welcome. The exhibits come from the Music Department's Sit Gwoksin Collection, Yam and Bak Collections, materials from the ritual performances of Cantonese opera in Hong Kong, and books from the library. The exhibition is also open to the public on the Sundays of 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th March 2002, from 1.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
