Ban Gu (Pan Ku) ¯Z©T 32-92

Ban was a historian and writer of fu ½á, the most famous of which is the ¡¥Fu on the Two Capitals¡¦ ¨â³£½á. He took over from his father Ban Biao ¯Z³C the task of writing a history of the Former Han dynasty, the Hanshu º~®Ñ [Book of Han], which was ultimately completed by his sister, Ban Zhao ¯Z¬L, after his death. The structure of the work became the model for most later dynastic histories.
