Chen Yingzhen (real name Chen Yongshan) 1937-

Taiwanese fiction writer. Chen graduated from Tamkang College in Taiwan and started publishing short stories in 1959. After being charged with "subversive" activities by the Taiwanese Garrison Command, he was imprisoned from 1968 to 1975, and arrested again in 1978 before the Kaohsiung Incident. He has published over ten collections of short stories and his Collected Works of Chen Yingzhen runs to fifteen volumes. A selection of his stories has been translated by Lucien Miller in the book Exiles at Home.
