Du Du [real name Ho Kwok Tao 何國道] 1948-

Born in Shanghai, Du Du grew up in Hong Kong. He joined the education sector after graduating in 1972 from the University of Hong Kong with a degree in English Literature and Comparative Literature. His essays are collected in Zhujia fengjing 住家風景 [Domestic scenes] (1979) and Pingzi ji 瓶子集 [Vase] (1995). He also translated 'Truffaut's interview with Alfred Hitchcock' into Chinese. Du Du emigrated to the US in 1988.
