Hanshan Deqing 1546-1623

One of the most eminent Buddhist monks of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), was a prolific writer whose works ranged from exegeses of Buddhist texts to secular poems and commentaries on philosophical texts such as Laozi, and Zhuangzi. He is well known for describing in detail his many experiences of enlightenment, as recorded in the collection Hanshan laoren mengyou ji éw¤s¦Ñ¤H¹Ú´å¶° [Collected works of the old man Hanshan's dream wanderings].
