Li Kuang [real name Zheng Jianbo 鄭健柏] 1927-1991

Born in Guangzhou, Li Kuang was a graduate of Sun Yat-sen University. He moved to Hong Kong in 1952 and worked as an editor at Everyman's Literature 人人文學 and Highland Magazine Monthly 海瀾. Most of his creative writing, including the poetry collections Yan yu 燕語 [Swallow's talk] (1952) and Gaoyuan de muling 高原的牧鈴 [The shepherd of the highland] (1955), was published in this period. His poems, which express romantic feelings and nostalgia for China, were popular with many young readers.
